Birds on Thanksgiving Day

A thanksgiving day Haiku set down after too much food & just enough family. 

 brown in the foyer

I see dark spots in his fall

hush the bird will pass

poised pink on his rope

stupor like stare

hear the spoonbill curse

 standing blue on rock

flashing sun burnt feathers

Danger from behind

melancholy in gray,

prison birds by the feeder

bang where’s the head

for bank robbery

fiery hell public defender

red dye pack boom
